About the Procurement Specialist role:

As Procurement Specialist, you are vital to the continued growth and future development of our global CIPS Award winning Procurement team. Your role will therefore require you to be flexible to changing needs across the team, but also allow you to develop key procurement skills and experience with guidance from more senior/experienced members of the team. You will support the team and all colleagues with iProc (and similar) training, reporting & analysis, procurement administrative support, managing Service Now, stakeholder management, new supplier management, contract management, team training, ensure our processes, procedures and policies are up to date and compliant. You will uphold key compliance metrics and research new ways to deliver procurement excellence by delivering benchmarking activities and feedback collation. You will also have the opportunity to support the Category team with tenders and other competitive procurement projects.

What you'll need to succeed in the role:

  • This is a hugely varied role and as such, we are looking for intelligent, flexible, adaptable individuals with aspirations to learn, develop and progress.
  • You will continually research and benchmarking our service, seeking new and improved ways to manage our data and derive insight to make better commercial decisions.
  • You will create and support the creation of reports, processes, procedures & policies specific to Procurement and you will assist in the version control and communications of any new release and you will support the management, distribution and successful implementation of all such documents.
  • You will assist the Category Managers to manage contract expiry and renewal process.
  • You will also assist with the reporting of Social Value & Sustainability commitments and you will conduct procurement research and support tendering activities in line with category plan requirements.
  • Procurement experience from any industry sector would be beneficial as is someone looking to develop a deeper understanding of procurement in Housing.
  • This role is perfect for someone looking to develop experience and application of Strategic sourcing methodologies and to achieve membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or appropriate professional institute or relevant experience.
  • Candidates with a degree level qualification plus procurement knowledge and experience are preferred.
