Location: Hounslow, London
Salary: £36,413 - £48,532 (plus TLR depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, permanent from January 2025

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Teacher with a passion for early childhood education and the drive to take on a Middle Leader role within a vibrant and diverse primary school in Hounslow. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to develop their leadership skills while shaping the future of the school's youngest learners.

About the Role:
As the Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality early years education, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that enables all children to achieve their full potential. In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will take on a Middle Leader role with a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR), focusing on a specific area of school improvement, such as curriculum development, assessment, or pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Foster a love of learning and support children's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Use assessment data to inform planning and target individual pupil progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards across the EYFS.
  • Take a leadership role in a specific area, driving school improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to whole-school development through involvement in strategic planning and decision-making.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Reception Teacher.
  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and has a proven track record of excellent classroom practice in EYFS.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership potential or has experience in a middle leadership role.
  • Has a passion for early years education and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Is a reflective practitioner who uses feedback and assessment data to improve teaching.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues and pupils alike.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and contributing to the wider school community.
