We are looking for a Sales Executive to join our team on a 2-year fixed term contract till January 2027.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?

Wellcome Collection Venue Hire is part of Wellcome Trust Trading Limited which manages the commercial offer at Wellcome collection. This also includes Licensing, retail and catering.

Through the hire of our conference and meeting event spaces and exhibition galleries, the Commercial team is responsible for generating essential income that enables the continuing development of our public outreach and exhibitions programmes.

What will I be doing?

We are looking for a Sales Executive to help the venue hire team in achieving our ambitious external commercial targets as well as assisting with important internal stakeholder led event bookings. You will have experience in event sales, be a great negotiator and have high attention to detail. You will be involved in our sales cycle from enquiry through to negotiation and contract stage. You are creative and understand marketing and sales activities to promote a business.

As a Sales Executive, you will:

• Proactively sell Wellcome Collection for external venue hire to new business in order to achieve financial targets.

• Innovatively promote Wellcome Collection through external marketing channels and produce a ROI of each activity.

• Ensure that good relationships are maintained with internal departments and service partners.

• Deputize for the Sales Manager in their absence.

• Undertake their work in accordance with Wellcome policies and principles.

• Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.

Is this job for me?

You will have experience in event sales, be a great negotiator and have high attention to detail.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working in an events venue

• Has worked with either in- house or external caterers

• Maintains exhibition and networking skills

• Possesses as proven track record of delivering both proactive and reactive sales for a venue

• Can demonstrate knowledge of an event management system/ CRM system
