School Finance Administrator

  • £95-£100 per day
  • Term Time only plus 10 days

Academics are seeking a dedicated School Finance Administrator to join the dynamic team of this fantastic faith school, ensuring the smooth operation of the financial systems and payroll processes in the London Borough of Westminster on a part time basis.

As a School Finance Administrator you will have the responsibility to work on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks such as:

  • Place orders and process invoices using our Finance Management System (FMS).
  • Handle journal entries for payroll, income, and direct debits.
  • Process payments securely via BACS.
  • Approve timesheets by confirming attendance through the visitor book.
  • Receive orders and promptly report any discrepancies.
  • Prepare VAT returns.
  • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor and report on budget performance.
  • Generate deficit reports and complete CFR returns.
  • Process accruals and set budgets from February to March.
  • Manage year-end processing in early April.
  • Prepare bi-monthly payroll reporting packs.
  • Monitor pre-payroll reports and address errors immediately.
  • Ensure compliance with auto-enrollment regulations due July 2025.
  • Process orders for supplies and services while adhering to financial procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality in compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Provide clerical support to school leadership and manage reception services.
  • Coordinate school visits, camps, and extracurricular activities.
  • Oversee employment contracts and lettings administration.
  • Contribute to child protection and health policies, reporting concerns as needed.
