Job description

Procurement Heads are currently working exclusively with a not-for-profit government agency who are searching for a new Senior Procurement Specialist to join their team with 2 days a week in their London offices. This agency are the UK foremost advanced technology innovation centre who are working with a range of organisations to accelerate the adoption of digital technology. The procurement team play an integral role in the growth and development of the agency, and they are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join the team and help support the continued growth and development of the procurement team and the agency on a wider level.

Key Duties

  • Conduct and manage procurement in accordance with policies and PCR/FTS procedures.
  • Successfully run tenders and undertake the end-to-end procurement process with ease.
  • Effective use of e-procurement and supporting the business with facilitating e-procurement activities.
  • Collate information to report to the wider Procurement Department to support and prepare for internal and external audits.
  • Develop templates, processes, and documentation to further support the procurement team and their goals.
  • Provide training to various internal departments to inform them about processes, procedures, and commercial best practices.
  • Solving complex issues using critical analysis skills, using negotiation skills to work with internal and external stakeholders while building excellent relationships.


Key Experience

  • Knowledge and experience in UK Public Procurement Law is essential.
  • Previously worked in a Procurement role in the public sector with demonstrable experience of providing specialist advice and identifying/managing procurement related risks.
  • Proven experience in running multiple tender processes at once and effectively managed workload.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) including influencing, negotiation skills and relationship building.
  • Knowledge of e-tendering tools and a good understanding of public sector procurement regulations.


Salary and Benefits

  • £50,000 - £60,000
  • Double-matched pension up to 10% of salary,
  • 4% of salary to use towards selecting benefits of your choice, including health cash plan, Private Medical Insurance, buying holiday or topping up your pension.
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holiday + 3 days between Christmas and New Years.


Hybrid Working: 2 days a week in office in central London.
