Job description

Due to company growth, our client, a specialist concrete repair and waterproofing contractor, are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor, on a permanent basis.

Job Duties

To carry out and oversee operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.

  • Overseeing and organising labour on site, including recording of labour and hours worked
  • Overseeing and organising subcontractors on site, including recording of labour and hours worked
  • Responding to e-mails/ issues on site
  • Providing the Contracts Manager Division Manager with information on site progress and reporting any changes to the works carried out
  • Overseeing delivery of materials, checking volume of materials on site and checking that materials are being applied to correct consumption rates
  • Liaising with Clients and reporting progress, issues, and feedback
  • Liaising directly with the working foreman and site manager to understand scope and works programme
  • Ensuring that the contract programme is followed and updated
  • Keeping up to date records of work activities and conditions, including all readings for application of materials
  • Checking and preparing site reports and drawings
  • Ensuring that work is programmed to achieve targets
  • Problem solving
  • Carrying out safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
  • Maintaining quality control procedures
  • Carrying out daily briefings, Toolbox Talks, Site Specific Training, record of communication or any tasks asked of him by the contracts team
  • Carry out site survey to show extent of defects
  • Carry out site survey, provide drawings and photos
  • Provide accurate percentage complete on site for the Contacts/Division Manager
  • Building relationships with clients and all involved with the project
  • Change in method of works to be forwarded and discussed
  • Attending meetings with contractors/clients
  • Promoting and assisting with the management of live jobs within the Waterproofing Division.

Requirements

  • SMSTS
  • Driving licence
  • Waterproofing / concrete repair experience essential
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Computer literate
