Job description

We have a new role for a fabric engineer to join a leading University in a static role based in London. This is a unique opportunity for a fabric technician to join an in house estates team and work in a great team and supportive environment.

About the role

The role is responsible for completing planned and routine maintenance, undertaking maintenance and fabric repairs on the University campus based near Charing Cross.

The role is versatile, with multiple duties and responsibilities and carried out to the required standard, whilst remaining compliant and providing excellent customer service.

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week, 8-4 Monday - Friday), and, in addition to a salary of up to c£32,000, you will also be offered a wealth of benefits that include:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  1. Previous demonstrated maintenance/fabric experience and supporting qualifications
  2. Demonstrable carpentry and general building services maintenance knowledge
  3. IT literate particularly in Excel
  4. Flexible attitude and team player
  5. Good health and safety knowledge
  6. Willingness to learn and develop

Desirable criteria

  1. Managing assigned work through an iPad/CAFM system
  2. First Aid course
  3. IOSH Working Safely
