Job Title: Tax Compliance & Reporting Senior Manager

Base Location: This role is based at the clients head office on Fenchurch Street, London.

Work Pattern: The team work on a Hybrid work pattern, ideally looking at 2 days a week in the office.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a dynamic Tax team at a global Insurance firm. Reporting directly to the Head of Tax Compliance & Reporting, in this team you will have 2 direct reports and will be overseeing the preparation of all the GRSi legal entity tax computations, financial reporting and co-ordination of European branch tax returns with third party advisers.

What the team is looking for is someone with have good knowledge of Lloyds syndicates, UK corporation tax, accounting standards and be an effective communicator (both written and verbal). As part of this role, you may be required to assist the Head of Tax Compliance & Reporting, Tax Risk & Governance Senior Manager and Transfer Pricing Senior Manager to propose tax accounting positions.

What will you be doing?

On a day-to-day basis this role will include:

  • Managing GRSI's direct tax compliance including direct UK & European tax provisions; UK & European corporate income tax returns and supplement returns; tax cash payments and cash forecasting; UK PAYE settlement agreement.
  • Managing GRSI's internal & external tax reporting requirements including FRS102, various European & US GAAP reporting of tax compliance positions; planning and forecasting; solvency II; management reporting.
  • Supporting Head of Tax and peers with varied tax projects.
  • Business Partnering to develop and strengthen GRSi Tax Team's relationship with stakeholders.

What will you need to do it?

  • Post qualified ACA, CTA, CA or ACCA experience within Insurance either in industry or a large accountancy firm.
  • A strong knowledge of UK Corporation Tax.
  • Lloyds market experience.
  • Proven track record of building and managing a successful team.
