Job Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach engineering concepts, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering, with practical applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine curriculum units, ensuring lessons are challenging and relevant.
  • Utilize hands-on projects, labs, and real-world problem-solving to deepen student understanding of engineering.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, adapting teaching to address strengths and weaknesses.
  • Encourage students to participate in engineering-related extracurricular activities, including enrichment programs, workshops, and industry visits.
  • Work with the Special Educational Needs (SEN) team to ensure inclusive learning opportunities for all students.
  • Foster a strong classroom culture of discipline, teamwork, and respect.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a focus on secondary education.
  • Degree in engineering or a related field, with strong knowledge in areas such as mechanics, robotics, electronics, or materials science.
  • Passion for teaching engineering and the ability to inspire students through real-world applications.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and the trust's values of inclusion, innovation, and excellence.
