We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waiter/ Waitress to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests in London, Hackney. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customers feel welcomed and satisfied throughout their dining experience at an Italian pizzeria.

The Role

• Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
• Take food and drink orders accurately, ensuring all details are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining a high standard of presentation.
• Upsell menu items to enhance the guests experience and increase sales.
• Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is advantageous.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
• Basic maths skills for processing bills and handling payments accurately.
• Proficient in upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
• Understanding of food safety regulations to ensure compliance in all aspects of service.
• Exceptional hospitality skills, with a focus on guest services and creating memorable experiences.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
