Start Date: Early November (Post Half Term)
Contract: Full-time, long-term (Remainder of academic year with potential for extension to permanent)
Hourly Rate: 15 - 20 based on experience.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Premises Manager to join our vibrant primary school starting in November, after the half-term break. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead and maintain the school's facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the school's premises, ensuring all areas are well-maintained and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Lead a team of five, including a caretaker and premises assistants, ensuring tasks are delegated efficiently and completed to high standards.
  • Manage and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep of the building and grounds.
  • Liaise with external contractors and service providers for maintenance and improvement works.
  • Ensure the school is prepared and presentable for daily operations and special events.
  • Develop and implement regular risk assessments, ensuring the safety of students and staff.
  • Work closely with the school leadership to support their vision and ensure the premises meet the needs of the school community.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the operational and safety needs specific to schools.
  • Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community, with the possibility of extending beyond the academic year based on performance. If you're passionate about ensuring a safe and well-maintained learning environment, we'd love to hear from you.
