Job: CAD TechnicianLocation: Chineham Business Park, Basingstoke
Department: Development Team
Reports To: Lead Project Developer
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Contract (Hours: 8:30 - 17:00)Salary: £26,000 - £28,000

The Role:We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our fast-paced Development Team. You will be responsible for creating 2D site designs using AutoCAD or similar software, including site layouts, planning submissions, equipment elevations, and other site-specific plans. Your ability to work efficiently on multiple projects at different stages of development is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Development Team with initial site layouts through to construction drawings.
  • Revise and update existing drawings to reflect changes in design, scope, or standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
  • Research and recommend new processes and improvements to aid design and project development.
  • Ensure site designs are proposed and completed to the highest standards.
  • Follow company policies and safety regulations for operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar).
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic industry.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Great administration skills for tracking site progress and information sharing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking about design issues.
  • Basic understanding of the EV industry or enthusiasm to learn.
