Senior Transport Planner - Fleet

Position Details:
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From £45,000 per year
Additional Pay: Performance-based bonuses, loyalty bonus, profit sharing

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Main Duties:
Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans; coordinate Travel Plans as needed.
Create and present technical data and drawings.
Conduct junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities as required.
Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of all assigned tasks.
Review work for quality and accuracy, particularly for junior team members.
Work collaboratively within the team and proactively support junior staff in developing their technical skills.
Assist Team Leaders in providing comprehensive advice on Highways & Transport matters, from feasibility work to preliminary guidance.
Perform site appraisals/visits, design surveys, and contribute to written reports and presentations.
Keep project files updated and assist with related tasks as required by Team Leaders.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of experience with UK Transport Planning standards and processes.
Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT).
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong numeracy skills, with solid spreadsheet capabilities.
Knowledge of AutoCAD (desirable).
Proficiency with ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.
Competencies:
Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate findings effectively.
Skilled in numerical work, with high attention to detail.
Confident verbal and written communication.
Commercial acumen and effective problem-solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and workload management.
