Based in either Glasgow, Blackpool, Newcastle, York, Newport or Gosport

2 days on site 3 days WFH - Hybrid working

40,000 - 65,000

DV cleared role

We are currently recruiting for a Network Engineer to join our exceptional team at SSCL, UK. As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in our exciting transformation of Defence Business Services. What you'll be doing:

Implement and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switching, routing, and IPS

Apply your practical experience and extensive knowledge of cloud technologies, like Azure or OCI.

Collaborate closely with teams from various departments to determine and successfully implement network requirements

Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring exceptional uptime and reliability

Provide support and resolve network-related issues in a timely manner

What you'll bring:

Proficiency and experience with firewalls and firewalling

CCNA certification or equivalent experience

Proficiency in switching and routing

Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, specifically Azure or OCI

It would be great if you had:

Experience with F5 Load Balancers and Fortinet products (Fortigate and Fortiweb)

CCNP certification

Knowledge of datacenter operations

Familiarity with ServiceNow and SolarWinds
