Job description

Our client based in Colden Common (Winchester) who are a leading, independent manufacturer of bespoke sculptures, models and prototype objects are looking for a Workshop Operative to join their growing team on a temp to perm basis. Our client creates these products on both a smaller and larger scale for customers such as Google and Virgin.

The role of the Workshop Operative will be working in the factory doing a mix of Painting, Sanding & Prepping. The ideal candidate will have a passion of taking pride in their work due to the nature of the business. The candidate will also be willing to work as part of a small team, have willingness to learn and progress within the business. There is also an opportunity for this role to progress quickly into a Team Leader/Supervisory role.

Duties of the Role:
- Painting/Sanding/Spray Painting
- Welding/Prepping
- Laminating Fibreglass Mats
- Working together with other team members to hit deadlines.

Experience Required:
- Worked within a mechanical or production environment
- Previous use of hand tools
- Previous Experience working with Fibreglass would be a bonus but training will be given
- Good Dexterity
- Basic Computer Skills
- Attention to Detail and Pride in Work
- Willingness to learn and train
- Driving Licence Preferred due to location

Offer:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:15am to 5pm (1hr lunch break deducted) Overtime available at x1.5 and x2
- 12ph Starting Rate ( 23k annual salary) - Uplift of between 25k- 30k once perm.
