Audit manager ACA ACCA, a growing national firm in Southampton Office, hybrid working, excellent benefits

You will be working in the Southampton office of this national firm of accountants and business advisors as an audit manager working on an extensive and broad portfolio of audit clients, within the owner-managed and corporate space, working alongside Client Service Directors (CSD) and Audit RI's on key and mid-tier accounts.
The position will be in a client-facing role, establishing strong relationships with a significant number of business owners across the region with key responsibilities to include acting as a key point of contact within the firm for our audit clients, being responsible for the financial performance and management of a portfolio of audit clients including all aspects of engagement ownership reporting to the Audit RI, build and maintain strong relationships with clients, being a main point of contact throughout the year for queries and support and to manage audit resources to ensure engagements have the right mix of knowledge and skills required within the team assigned.
You will also play an integral role in the recruitment, retention, development and motivation of the team, which includes participating in recruitment, as well as ensuring personal development plans and job feedback documentation is completed within deadlines, as well as forming relationships with the national Audit & Assurance team across the wider business, sharing knowledge and best practice.
To be a successful Audit Manager, you will need to be ACCA or ACA qualified with significant prior experience of managing a portfolio of audit clients including audit testing, consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures and strong technical ability with a working knowledge of recent developments in relation to audit, accounting and tax compliance (FRS 102 / FRS102 1a / IFRS / ISA's). You must demonstrate gravitas and impact to earn trust and respect amongst senior management, the wider team and with clients. You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a proven ability to identify and pursue business opportunities whilst maintaining a solution mindset.
