Job description

An exciting opportunity for a Project Lead (Housing) to join Southampton City Council in the Construction Project Delivery Service area.

About the role:

We are looking for a confident and experienced Project Lead within the Built Environment to undertake a delivery role in our Construction Projects Delivery service area. You will be responsible for successful delivery of a range of construction projects, with a focus on refurbishment and improvement housing schemes, including fire safety.

It will be your responsibility to ensure that all work within the team is carried out in accordance with regulations (e.g. Building Regulations, CDM) and SCC Policy, Procedure, and Process and that SCC adheres to statutory requirements.

About you:

You will have experience of successfully managing significant construction schemes, ensuring they are planned and executed to achieve milestones and deliverables, within budget and resource agreements. Evidence of a governance focused approach and clear reporting is expected, alongside achieving cultural and behavioural change to improve the experience and outcomes for our customers.

Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience, you should be PRINCE 2 qualified or have an equivalent project management qualification or professional experience.
