Overview:

A forward-thinking primary school in Hertfordshir are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 3/4 Teacher to join their team on the 4th November. This role offers a unique opportunity to teach a combined class of Year 3 and Year 4 students, providing a varied and dynamic teaching experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a love of learning and able to adapt teaching methods to cater to a mixed-age class effectively.

Role Purpose:

The Year 3/4 Teacher will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that caters to the needs of both Year 3 and Year 4 students, encouraging their academic, social, and personal development. This role requires a creative approach to teaching and the ability to inspire students of varying abilities and interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of Year 3 and Year 4 students.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where students are encouraged to take an active role in their learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support the overall development of students.
• Participate in school events, activities, and professional development opportunities.
• Manage classroom resources effectively and maintain a well-organized and stimulating learning environment.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally with exposure to both Year 3 and Year 4.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies for a mixed-age class.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
• Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to cater to a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
• An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
