Job description

Position Overview:

Working closely with the Programme Manager, you will support the delivery of EV infrastructure projects, providing administrative support and acting as a conduit between internal departments, contractors and customers.

In this new role, you will support our growing business by ensuring each programme is delivered in time and on-cost.

Main job functions:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of programme delivery, to ensure timely progress and completion of projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate the work and schedules of Engineers and Contractors via electronic systems, balancing the needs and resources of multiple projects at any one time.
  • Liaise with colleagues, contractors and customers, ensuring effective communication and smooth transfer of information from one party to another.
  • Complete daily shift reports and assist the Programme Manager with time management.
  • Support the Programme Manager to establish and maintain supply chains for each program.
  • Coordinate and monitor the input of internal teams, adhering to project plans and deadlines.
  • Plan and schedule commissioning work with contractors.
  • Support programme work, managing data integration and reporting of successes and failures in the Charge Point Management System.
  • Prepare and communicate project updates, attending team meetings within various departments to ensure efficient communication across teams.

Experience/qualifications required:

  • Significant experience in coordinating and scheduling field/site based teams, including external contractors.
  • Experience of supporting and coordinating projects to budgets and deadlines, where such projects involve multiple external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing permit or DNO applications (or similar) would be beneficial.
  • Highly organised, able to effectively prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • Tenacious, able to overcome problems and push projects through to completion.
  • Thrives in a busy working environment, performs well under pressure, able to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Confident with IT, experience of working with ticketing systems would also be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Confident and comfortable communicating with different stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Able to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams, acting as a facilitator of communication go-to contact for colleagues and external agencies.
  • Previous experience in the EV sector and Charge Point Management System experience is desirable.
