Salary: Circa£55,000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
- Conducting peer reviewsand verifying tasks, ensuring adherence to engineeringstandards Identifying and resolving product lifecycle issues,leading change activities to maintaincompliance Establishing and managing qualificationrequirements during build, test, and commissioning, ensuring SafetyCase integrity and robust supportingdocumentation Serving as subject matter expert, coaching andmentoring team members and upholding engineeringexcellence Collaborating with electrical, mechanical, andsystems engineers to optimise thermal design of radarcomponents Leading development and validation of thermalmodels to predict performance under variedconditions
- Master's or bachelor'sdegree in mechanical engineering or a related field and or provenexperience Expertise in heat transfer principles, fluidmechanics, andthermodynamics
- Proven experience indesigning and testing thermal systems for electronic components andassemblies Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leadingengineering teams to achieve technicalexcellence

As you engage with engineering functions across thebusiness, as our team covers the whole engineering lifecycle usingthe latest cutting-edge technology, becoming a member of theMechanical Engineering Radar team will provide you with significantexposure inside the larger BAE Systemsorganisation.
BAE Systems Naval Radar provides Radar products andsupport services to a diverse range of customers worldwide. Thisrole will provide engineering management support as part of a teamdelivering capability upgrades to the Royal Navy over the next 10years. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance yourskills and knowledge, with the potential to lead into more seniorpositions within a globalbusiness.
