Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible)

About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded early years setting in Canterbury that is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner. The ideal candidate will be Level 3 qualified and committed to supporting children's development in a nurturing and engaging environment. You will play a key role in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, fostering a love for learning, and ensuring each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver a range of fun and stimulating activities, tailored to children s individual needs and interests
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Ensure children s social, emotional, and developmental needs are met in line with the EYFS framework
  • Observe, assess, and record each child s progress, working collaboratively with parents and carers
  • Promote positive behaviour and develop key relationships with both children and parents
  • Maintain a high standard of health and safety, safeguarding, and child protection procedures

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (such as NVQ Level 3, CACHE Level 3 Diploma, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting is desirable
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for fostering children s growth, creativity, and independence
  • Ability to work well in a team and build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
