Job description

A long-established law firm in Oldham is seeking a Civil Litigation Fee Earner/Solicitor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional to gain experience in a varied and challenging caseload while working in a supportive and reputable firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage or assist with a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, including but not limited to:
    • Contractual disputes
    • Employment matters
    • Settlement agreements
    • TOLATA (Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act) cases
    • Neighbour/boundary disputes
    • Will and inheritance disputes
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and correspond with clients, solicitors, and other parties.
  • Prepare cases for litigation and manage the procedural aspects of cases through to settlement or trial.
  • Offer professional advice and support to clients while maintaining high levels of client care and service.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and relevant legal procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience in civil litigation, either in an assisting role or handling own files.
  • Experienced fee earner, NQ Solicitor or legal executive
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
