Job Title: Geotechnical Area Manager
Location: North West - Greater Manchester
Contract Details: Permanent, full-time
Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 per year

Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of ground investigation services in the Southern area office, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget
- Prepare tenders and manage projects both technically and financially
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building relationships with clients
- Coordinate and execute ground investigations, providing expertise and input into the planning stage of new projects
- Maintain effective communication with clients as well as internal stakeholders
- Manage and develop a team of engineers, ensuring effective use of resources
- Contribute to business development strategies to grow the contract business
- Maintain and enhance management systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor and audit contractual and assurance performance
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technological advances in the geo-environmental field
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- At least 10 years of relevant ground investigation and construction experience
- BSc (MSc preferable) in Earth Sciences or Geotechincal related degree
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Experience in project management and contract delivery
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Business development experience
- Chartered Status - Highly Desirable
Technologies:
- Proficient in relevant software and tools related to ground investigation and project management
