Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Training Company to recruit a Power Plant Trainer to work at power stations across the UK and based out of East Midlands.

The Power Plant Trainer role comes with a competitive starting salary and the opportunity to join a growing company. They are open to candidates in a permanent or contract capacity.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Training Delivery Director you will be responsible for:

• Travelling to Power Stations across the UK, and occasionally abroad, to delivery a wide range of training for the teams on site.
• Performing trainings at the on-site facilities in Kegworth
• Training sessions will include, but are not limited to, Power Plant Operations (Coal, CCGT, Energy from Waste and Biomass), High Voltage Safety and Energy Recovery.
• Ensuring all activities related to the training are on time and completed to the required standard
• Supporting the Training Delivery Director in further developing the training methods, guidelines and learning content
• Delivering lessons learned and feedback for current and future projects
• Presenting yourself in a professional and appropriate manner as the on-site representative for the company

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Ideally a qualification (HNC/ONC) in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Experience working on Power Stations, preferably in an Operations role
• Any experience as a trainer/teacher is advantageous but not essential
• A willingness to travel within the UK as required.

• Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
• Excellent customer service / client facing skills
• UK Driving License
