The Company:
Recruitment are excited to be working with our client, a reputable Property consultancy and Land Developer based in Leicester.
Our client are now seeking a Commercial Chartered Surveyor to undertake and ensure the effective day to day property management of a commercial property portfolio, maximising revenue return and tenants' compliance with lease terms. The successful person will also be involved in some Landlord and Tenant work on behalf of commercial clients.

Role & Responsibilities of the Commercial Chartered Surveyor:

  • Dealing with agency enquires from applicants and clients
  • Organising and conducting viewings
  • Negotiating lettings and sales
  • Conduct market appraisals and win new business
  • Ensure compliance with Anti Money Laundering credit checks for clients and applicants
  • Preparing particulars and floor plans
  • Listing properties - organising advertising, erection of agency board liaising with other property professionals and portals
  • Negotiating deals - Client/applicant liaison, preparation Heads of Terms/Memo of Sale
  • Supporting Commercial Director
  • Manage transactions to legal completion


About You as the Commercial Chartered Surveyor:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in commercial property agency
  • A full clean driving licence is essential
  • Sales and lettings experience industrial knowledge beneficial
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of property laws and regulations
  • Excellent organisation, communication and presentation abilities
  • A track record of successfully driving business growth in commercial property sales and leasing
  • Extensive knowledge of local and regional commercial real estate markets
  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills
  • The ability to learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate positively and effectively, both orally and in writing to clients, tenants/purchasers and colleagues
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are considered essential plus the ability to demonstrate an adaptability or willingness to learn the use of property-specific software packages and online resources
  • The ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion, with high levels of attention to detail
  • Able to work calmly under pressure and to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • A pro-active approach to work and a willingness to get involved and put forward ideas
  • A positive attitude, lots of personality and acute attention to detail
