Job Title: Teacher - English & Maths

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English & Maths Teacher to join our educational service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment and delivering engaging lessons to offenders.

Our English & Maths Teacher is to deliver the already planned lessons to diverse groups of offenders at all levels. Predominately teaching English and Mathematics. Promotes enthusiasm for learning and for subjects. Maintaining engagement and adhering to curriculum standards.The English & Maths Teacher is to provide a positive educational enhancement to offenders, by using Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality already planned curriculum aligned fully immersive bespoke high-end digital learning, to extensively impact learning capabilities to all learners of all abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Teacher of English & Maths is able to deliver 'already planned lessons' with assistance to offenders within prisons in the Midlands
  • Incorporating, with assistance, our fully integrated Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality with embedded educational resources in line with the curriculum (training will be provided on all equipment and best practice)
  • Manages the diverse ability levels of offenders
  • English & Maths Teacher to communicate with all other staff members who engage with offenders within classroom
  • Adapts curriculum to fit offenders needs while maintaining overall class progress
  • Possesses and continually develops working knowledge of national curriculum programmes and frameworks
  • Attends occasional and/or continuing education webinars and updates on curriculum content
  • Improve engagement, retainment of knowledge using virtual and augmented reality within planned lessons
  • English & Maths Teacher to assess and record offenders development, while identifying problem areas and areas which need attention and improvement
  • English & Maths Teacher to provide constructive feedback to offenders
  • Attends and takes part in meetings on curriculum, organisation and guidelines
  • English & Maths Teacher will be communicating with each establishment s education department, presenting offenders progress reports whilst adhering to relevant guidelines

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
