Engineering Manager

Location Hatfield, DN8

Contract Permanent

Core hours - Monday Friday 38 hours per week

Salary Up to £60,000 per annum

Role Purpose

  • Co-ordination and management of site Engineering activities
  • Facilitation and justification of engineering Capital expenditure
  • Management of engineering Projects

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of plant, equipment, site services and infrastructure
  • Development and implementation of capital projects
  • To ensure that all plant, equipment, and activities at site are completed in a safe manner and fully comply with all EH&S legislation and company procedure.
  • Prepare, manage, and control engineering revenue budget
  • Management of site s ppm maintenance systems to ensure that plant performances are maximised.
  • Recruitment, training and development of engineering staff
  • Undertake other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the Company Employment Policies and individual contractual terms and conditions of employment
  • Take reasonable care of health and safety of self, other people and resources whilst at work to comply with the Company s Health and Safety Policy, Codes of Practice and local rules.
  • Co-operate with the line manager or any other person with specific responsibility for health and safety, to enable the Company s responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act to be performed.

Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance:

  • Participation and accountability of all Health and Safety initiatives appropriate to the Engineering function
  • Legislative and in accordance with Company s Health and Safety Policy, Codes of Practice and local rules.
  • Site Emergency Procedure responsibilities
  • Participate in Health and Safety meetings, implement any appropriate actions
  • Participation in management review, O & T, operational control and policy.
  • Manage function waste materials
  • Manage function emergency procedure requirements
  • Promote customer focus throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure processes are delivering intended outputs
