Role Overview

As a Work Placement Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Work Placement Manager in planning and preparing work placements across the College curriculum. You will manage a team of Work Placement Coordinators, ensuring that all learners receive an outstanding experience throughout their study.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and develop new and existing work placements to support students.
  • Ensure effective and efficient work placement delivery, adhering to college policies and procedures.
  • Conduct Health & Safety assessments of work placement settings.
  • Assist with briefing meetings to equip students for successful work placements.
  • Support students with the DBS checking process.
  • Maintain a database of employer and commercial/industrial links.
  • Monitor the progress of work placements and address any issues that arise.
  • Communicate effectively with the Work Placement Manager and team members.
What We're Looking For
  • Relevant Level 5 or Degree qualification.
  • Experience working with the 14-19 age group and within the education sector.
  • Proven experience in managing a team.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and great interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessments, and Health & Safety.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
