The Role - Associate Partner

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Associate Partner to lead our well-established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a minimum of 6 years Post Qualifying Experience (PQE) to lead high-profile cases, mentor junior solicitors and team and contribute to the strategic development of the department.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong track record of experience dealing with Contentious Probate and Trusts, Contentious Court of Protection and Property Litigation matters to contribute to the continued growth of Slater Heelis.

As an Associate Partner within the department, you will handle a range of work and responsibilities including:

  • Play a key role in advising clients, managing complex cases, and providing strategic legal solutions.
  • Managing a dispute resolution caseload including contentious probate and trusts, contentious court of protection and property litigation.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, legal experts, and stakeholders to build robust cases and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing a broad spectrum of disputes, showcasing excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
  • Conducting negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings when necessary.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Help drive business development and strategic improvement in the team.
  • Developing a network of personal contacts and a personal profile in the area of work.
  • Showing an ability to control personal WIP, client account sums and disbursements.
  • Reviewing bad debts and dealing directly with clients on outstanding costs where necessary.
