HSQE Manager

Location:
Speke, Merseyside

Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 per annum, depending on experience, + Company Benefits

Our client, a leading manufacturer of products for the construction industry, is experiencing continued growth and is now seeking a HSQE Manager to ensure the business is excelling in manufacturing whilst having a sustainable future.
In this role, you will be responsible for the business striving to integrate all sustainable, environmental, health and safety and ethical elements into the core operations to create a better world for its employees, customers and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage strategies to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
  • Oversee carbon calculations and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Drive initiatives for energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental laws and best practices by conducting assessments and audits to monitor environmental performance.
  • Manage environmental permits and maintain ISO accreditation to ensure adherence to environmental laws.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to monitor environmental effects.
  • Manage environmental permits and maintain ISO accreditation compliance.
  • Prepare and present reports on sustainability and health and safety to management.
  • Promote a culture of sustainability and safety within the organisation.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers on sustainability and safety issues.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • ISO experience is required, ideally ISO40001.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives, carbon calculation and health + safety management.
  • Exceptional communication skills and excellent IT knowledge.
