Job Title: QHSE Advisor
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a SHEQ Advisor to join the team.
The successful candidate will support the development and ensure the delivery of the Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental strategy, policy and processes, supporting the Contract Manager.
Role Summary:
To provide SHEQ guidance, advice and support to the CBRE operational site team. Within the associated remit to assist in the discharging of SHEQ responsibilities to maintain zero harm objective. To provide SHEQ Management solutions in line with local site requirements ensuring collaboration with CBRE site team, Client and Supply Chain Partners.
Conduit between the client key stakeholders, operational leads and CBRE SMEs to drive collaboration and understanding of the criticality that the Account adheres to the Engineering Policy and maintain compliance.
- Conduct Weekly spot checks of CBRE staff and their welfare facilities, working environments, working practices and behaviours.
- Synchronise health and safety management within the Account with respective client management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Continually develop CBRE health and safety management plans, processes, and procedure in compliance with external bodies and broader client health and safety policy.
- Vet sub- contractors' health and safety policy, processes, and procedures for conformance with CBRE and Engineering Policy.
- o Oversight, management, and regular review of the CBRE and client H&S management on site.
- o H&S auditing and reporting, including audit enforcement of safe system of work and ensure all staff comply with the system's processes and procedures.
- o Support the compliance to statutory regulation and satisfy health and safety requirements of regulatory bodies.
- o Ensure training requirements for site team in relation to health and safety and ensure all staff complete their site safety induction.
- o Ensure all staff have appropriate PPE to carry out their responsibilities safely.
- o Communicate proactively and professionally with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Escalate health and safety risks to the Senior Account Manager.
Essential
- Formal management qualification in Health and Safety management and Environmental management
- Practical application of auditing
- Membership of IOSH at a minimum of graduate level
- Specialist and strategic higher managerial experience in Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management.
- Practical and demonstrable knowledge liaising with enforcement agency / insurers
- Practical experience in Risk Management, Best Value analysis of QHSE resource support provision and Development / implementation of policy and process
- Event investigation & analysis
- Development and delivery of QHSE training
- Formal management qualifications in environmental or Safety management system auditing
- Formal qualifications in areas of engineering, including electrical or FM
- Chartered member of IOSH
