Business Development Manager

Consult Energy are working with a Utility company who are dedicated to creating sustainable and innovative solutions in the heat networks sector. With a commitment to enhancing energy efficiency and supporting local communities, they work closely with housing associations and local authorities to drive impactful projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background within heat networks, housing associations, or local authorities, and a proven track record in developing strategic partnerships and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities of heat network maintenance opportunities across the UK.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, targeting new and existing customers, including Contractors, Consultants, Private Developers, Build-to-Rent Operators, Housing Associations, Managing Agents, and Local Authorities, in order to secure pipeline growth
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and propose innovative solutions that meet client needs and align with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals to achieve revenue targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and policy changes affecting the sector.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and expand your professional network.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in business development with a focus on heat networks, housing associations, or local authorities is essential.
  • Understanding of energy systems, sustainability, and the regulatory landscape is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
