What You Need to Know for the Service Delivery Manager role

We are looking for a Service Delivery Manager to join our team based in Great Yarmouth. This is a full time position, working out of a purpose built, bright and vibrant office with engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

Our Service team are very experienced and talented and require this position to further support them day to day. Reporting to our Service Manager, you will support the service project team while leading multiple and complex projects yourself.

What We Are Looking For as the Service Delivery Manager

  • Experience of leading multiple complex service projects and be point of contact for client and leads functional input for service projects.
  • Detailed understanding and leads others in scope management activities and can evaluate and adapt as required.
  • Leads identification of resource requirements and resource plan throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leads work packs and working instructions for ongoing projects.
  • Provide close out reports and documentation including taking control of new opportunities from information provided at the end of a scope.
  • Liaise with the engineering department to produce updated drawings and procedures.
  • Controls budget development and actively monitors cost variances against budget and estimated cost at completion implementing appropriate actions as required.
  • Ensure that project deadlines/requirements are achieved for all aspects of the contract which they have been tasked with (delivery of the equipment and documentation).
  • Control and lead the various interrelated processes of a project. Manage the implementation of all the activities described within the scope. Update on a regular basis and communicate any changes to key project personnel and clients.
  • Ensure that the project scope is agreed by the client and is clearly defined and understood. Resolve, client specification discrepancies and avoid any potential risk.
  • Promote effective communication between the team members, internal departments, suppliers, and clients. Hold kick off and regular review meetings including briefs and de briefs with the personnel that are being mobilized to ensure the successful execution and completion of a project.
  • Create Bill of Materials and product structure to enable creation of AX12 numbers.
  • Ensure that all project documentation has been produced in accordance with the agreed project SDRL.
  • Work to the procedures governing documentation and drawing control contained in the company Quality Manual. Improve the current procedure where possible. Endeavour to meet 'best practice engineering.'
  • Produce technical quotation to the client with interface with other departments for necessary information to be included in the bid.
  • Manage legal review of bid documents to include issue of documentation to legal, preparation of legal response for inclusion into proposal and interface between Service Manager, Customer, and legal department during negotiations.
  • Identifies and accesses networks, communities, and other sources of knowledge relevant to their area of responsibility, taking ownership for part they play and your own development.
  • Provide accurate and relevant information to those responsible for developing sales strategy. Adapt own approach and priorities own activities in line with Services current strategy and focus.
  • Retain and profitably grow business with client base in line with Proserv service strategy, new propositions, products, and services. Apply value-based and consultative selling principles to understand the alignment between client needs and Proserv's proposition.
  • Responds positively to requests from others. Builds rapport with colleagues and contributes to a friendly team environment Operates with professionalism and integrity in all colleague interactions
  • Contribute to development and implementation of project quality plan
  • Day to day management of the projects that are assigned to them. Completing the start to finish process to a high standard reducing the risks for potential damage to projects and safety of technicians
  • Provide supervisory support cover as and when required.

Please note you will also form part of the on-call rota.

Qualifications / Skills & Experience needed for the Service Delivery Manager

Qualifications

  • HNC or NVQ/SVQ Level 3 qualified in one of the following disciplines of Mechanical, Civil or equivalent.

Essential

  • Proven experience in a similar position or Service Project Engineer.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access and outstanding communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with internal/external Customers.
  • Ability to respond to demands of a high and varied workload.
  • Knowledge of AX12/D365, PDM and SDRL and proven experience of leading multiple projects.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Subsea and/or PLC control systems.
