Job description

Our client are a dynamic and growing food manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality products with a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. They are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their team and ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.


The Quality Manager will oversee all aspects of quality control and assurance within the food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food safety standards, including HACCP Level 3 certification, and will have successfully managed BRC audits. This role is crucial to ensuring that all products meet regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the quality assurance team, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Oversee and maintain the company's HACCP plan, ensuring that it is properly implemented and updated as necessary.
  • Lead and coordinate BRC audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are in place to achieve and maintain certification.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential areas for improvement in food safety and quality.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and R&D teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints relating to quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Provide training and development to staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including audits, non-conformances, corrective actions, and training records.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • HACCP Level 3 certification is essential.
  • Proven experience in leading BRC audits and maintaining BRC certification.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a quality-focused team.
