Commercial Administrator Office based in Penrith

Your new company
Our client is a rapidly expanding owner-managed group business based in Penrith.
They currently have a vacancy in their team for a Commercial Administrator to join them on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager and Development Director, you will be responsible for managing subcontractor information and payment procedures, which will integrate with other key departments such as technical and construction.
This is a pivotal role with a well regarded company and will suit an experienced Commercial Administrator or someone with an eagerness to develop.
Your new role
This is a full-time role (40 hours).

  • You will assist in the execution of subcontractor payments.
  • You will keep accurate data records using a specialist database of certificates, payments, and orders.
  • All invoice queries to be assessed and where possible cleared or checked with QS/CM.
  • All subcontract AFP filing to be completed correctly ready for assessment.
  • Administration of permits, licenses, and consents, including submissions of applications and renewals.
  • Liaising with the construction team to ensure correct documentation is submitted to the office in a timely manner.
  • Minute/action taking of core and ad-hoc meetings.
  • Liaison with Building regulations and warranty providers, including compilation of documents and submission to relevant authorities.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient knowledge and use of MS office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Good communication skills and confidence with processes and terminology.
  • Confidence in dealing with a variety of stake holder including subcontractors, suppliers, local authorities etc.
What you'll get in return
  • Standard times 8.30am to 5pm but flexibility available for starting and finishing.
  • Pension -company contributes 3% and employee 5%
  • Company sick pay after 12 months
  • Holiday - 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
