Experienced KS1 Teacher required for a Wallasey primary school on the Wirral from September 2024

Are you an experienced KS1 teacher looking for a new challenge in the new academic year? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 teacher, ideally with experience of teaching year 1 classes, to join a friendly and supportive team at a Wallasey Primary School, on the Wirral peninsula. The post is full-time for at least 6 weeks starting in September 2024.
Your new role
As a KS1 teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs and interests of your pupils. You will also be expected to assess and monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and support, and work collaboratively with other staff and parents. You will work closely with your colleagues and the senior leadership team to ensure high standards of teaching and learning. You will have access to excellent resources and facilities, as well as ongoing professional development and support.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience of teaching year 1 classes in a primary school setting
  • Experience of Read-Write Inc phonics and the national curriculum
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn and grow
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
