Where you will be working:

A state of the art care home that is located in the quaint village of Great Oxendon (3 miles to the south of Market Harborough). The home is set around an attractive country house, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that we seek for our homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal and dementia care for 43 residents.

What we are looking for:

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Prepared to take on extra training as required
  • Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
  • Minimum of one years experience in residential / nursing home setting.
  • Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • To ensure knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
  • Satisfactory Care Character Assessment
  • Live within 20 minutes of the home.

Your day to day responsibilities:

  • Promoting our resident s independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers.
  • Leading our team to support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents by providing the highest standard of care.
  • Supporting our carers to provide personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.
  • Administering medication.
  • Writing and updating care plans and keeping accurate daily records.
  • Promoting our resident s choice, dignity and independence and all times.
