Are you looking for an operational health and safety role in an operational and varied environment?

Principal People are excited to be recruiting for a global manufacturing company to help recruit a Health and Safety Advisor to join their Health and Safety team.

The role will offer you the opportunity to work in an operational environment where you will be dealing with hands-on Health and Safety duties and an exciting opportunity to progress your career within Health and Safety.

This role is suited to people who are looking to progress in their health and safety career and the chance to work in a hands-on role for a people-focused business where you will be stepping into a role where you can develop further within the manufacturing field reporting to the Health and Safety Manager who has a track record of developing his team.

Health and Safety Advisor Northampton £45,000 to £55,000 Manufacturing

The minimum requirements for this role are:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma level prefered)
  • 2-3 years experience within a Health and Safety Role previously
  • Operational Health and Safety background within the Manufacturing / Pharmaceutical sector
  • Personable, able to engage all levels of staff and work to collaborative solutions
Key duties of the role include:
  • Operational Health and Safety support across the growing site
  • Demonstrating experience with risk assessments, auditing and training and operational safety duties
  • Working on improving the site's Health and Safety Culture by working closely with site staff
  • Motivating and developing the operational teams and leading by example
  • Developing new systems of work and working closely with the wider safety team
