Compliance and Cyclical Maintenance Officer required by a large Housing Association on a temporary basis

Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit a Compliance and Cyclical Maintenance Officer on a temporary contract basis for a period of c. 3-4 months with the possibility of further extension.

Your new role
You will ensure that the Association's existing and new schemes comply with all relevant statutory regulations through robust programme and project management of external contractors and consultants.
You will manage, plan and monitor works with external delivery partners to ensure that the Association's stock remains compliant with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, including:Asbestos ManagementCyclical Electrical WorksFire Safety ManagementDomestic and Commercial Heating SystemsWater Hygiene (Legionella) ManagementLifting Equipment Management.
In conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, you will develop and implement a cyclical maintenance programme which will include external improvement schemes.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must possess:Demonstrable experience of the successful management of a programme of projects.Extensive technical and practical knowledge of the related legislative and regulatory requirements covering property maintenance, development and construction.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise information regarding the projects to key stakeholders.Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word & Excel, and MS Project.Access to a vehicle and a full driving licence or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the post.

You will be paid via Hays on a weekly basis for all hours worked.It is our understanding that this role will be recruited on a permanent basis in due course - taking up the temporary post could be a good foot in the door in advance of this recruitment process.
