Early Years Teaching Assistant - Newham
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Newham. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young children and contribute to a nurturing educational environment.
Salary: £90 to £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Early Years Teaching Assistant in Newham, you will:
- Morning Support: Provide personalised support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD and self-harming behaviours.
- Inclusive Learning: Use your skills to foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom for students of all backgrounds and abilities.
- Nappy Changing: Assist with nappy changing, offering compassionate care for young children as needed.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement targeted support plans and interventions that meet each child s unique needs.
- Afternoon Flexibility: Provide crucial support across Key Stages 1 and 2 as required, helping with various age groups and developmental stages.
- Positive Relationships: Develop strong, positive relationships with students, supporting their holistic development and promoting confidence.

- Experience: Previous experience as a Nursery or Early Years Teaching Assistant, or in a similar educational support role, is preferred.
