NHS Property Services enables excellent patient care by acting as a trusted advisor to the NHS and by providing the best estate solutions.

We manage 2,700 properties with 6,300 customers across England, which accounts for approximately 10% of the total NHS estate. Our properties range from listed buildings to new integrated care centres and include hospitals, GP practices and offices.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Capital Process Manager to join our team on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract.

About the role:

This role will manage and coordinate the Construction programme activities to achieve excellence against all agreed parameters and in accordance with Health Safety & Welfare (HS&W) obligations, statutory regulations and company governance. The role holder will work collaboratively with all parts on the business to achieve results for NHSPS and our customers. The role holder will need to produce regular reports to provide consistency and maintain standard across the Region,Drive business improvement activities for our team, compliance, improved reporting, and knowledge of systems/ processes etc and drive non-financial Company objectives & targets to achieve value for the Customer.

Managers play an important role at NHSPS. They are the conduit between senior managers and leaders and the colleagues across the business who deliver for our customers and who keep the business running smoothly. Their teams are made up of specialists and team contributors, and typically they are responsible for the delivery of defined elements of the strategy and operating plans.

Managers frequently share the same professional and technical backgrounds as their teams and colleagues, and their role is to manage and coach their teams and colleagues to deliver in line with targets and performance standards.

What you will do:

  • Manage, analyse, verify and report on data, identifying trends and any necessary actions;
  • Develop, coordinate and implement process improvements, test and check prior to roll out and take any remedial actions; constantly check Construction and Minor Works teams levels of compliance and governance;
  • Undertake training on new and existing systems and processes to ensure competency and understanding of all users;
  • Prepare and present management reports to Senior Management Team (SMT) and other directorates; organise and direct senior management meetings and forums.;
  • To support/ manage/ monitor the development and maintenance of systems and processes which will provide an effective and efficient compliance methodology for the Construction team;
  • To produce management reports to ensure due processes, efficiency, effectiveness, and project outcomes are being achieved including lessons learnt and incorporate into future continuous improvement programmes;

Who you are:

  • Extensive experience of working within a complex property organisation;
  • Working on major programmes ensuring compliance and governance is maintained;
  • Build and maintain management dashboards
  • Experience of operating in a busy, customer focused business
  • Experience of driving improvements to enable efficiency
  • Experience of delivering change
  • Sound knowledge of complex organisations (specifically NHSPS);
  • Excellent IT skills, with strong knowledge of MS and BI software;
  • Building and managing excel trackers;
