Role Overview
As an Chartered Energy Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough energy assessments, offering expert advice on energy efficiency improvements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will work closely with clients to develop customized energy strategies and drive impactful changes in their energy management practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive energy audits and assessments for a range of properties, including commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
  • Evaluate and analyse energy consumption data to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Develop and recommend practical and effective energy efficiency measures and solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to local and national energy regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate energy solutions into project designs and operations.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and developments in the energy sector.

Requirements
  • General experience of energy and sustainability within the built environment and current energy/sustainability policy
  • Experience in traditional renewable energy technologies such as wind turbines, solar PV and anaerobic digestion
  • Experience in renewable energy development or feasibility.
  • Experience in rural and or commercial property/ property management would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation
  • Experience of financial modelling/energy efficiency/ renewables investment
  • Project management experience
