Community Halls Assistant
East London
My client is recruiting for a Community Halls Assistant based within the local Authority in East London and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• To assist and maintain a central booking system and contact point for residents and the general public and to maximise the use of community halls generating sufficient funds to maintain services.

• To process invoices, including raising purchase orders, cheque requisitions, checking and authorising payments for community halls.
• Collate up to date records for all aspects of community halls including repairs, using Cedar, Paris, Universal Housing and other in-house systems.
• Support with the effective monitoring and management of the customer receptions and facilities.
• To contribute towards service development plans, local initiatives and team plans to develop the overall quality of customer services.

Requirements

• Knowledge of social housing and community development
• Understanding of running or managing multiple buildings or community facilities.
• Experience of general administrative work and/ or clerical work in a busy office environment.
• Experience of dealing with customer queries either face to face or by telephone.

Contract

• Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend
• PAYE via Umbrella
• Monday to Friday
• 9am to 5pm

As the role is Local Authority based candidates will be asked to complete an onboarding & compliance checks including DBS & Online training modules prior to starting.
