The Opportunity
As an Energy Officer, you will be key in supporting our client s energy and utility services to ensure sustainable, cost-effective energy management across the organization. Based in Worcester, with standard working hours from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, this office-based role may require occasional travel and overnight stays.

Role Responsibilities

  • Invoice Management: Daily validation of gas, electric, and water invoices through the SIGMA software (full training provided). Process a mix of manual invoices (scanned and barcoded) and EDI files efficiently and accurately. Collaborate with the Worcester-based team member who manages post, ensuring invoices are correctly categorized and loaded for processing.

  • Utility Helpdesk Support: Oversee the Utility Helpdesk, handling queries, meter readings, and invoice submissions. Prioritize,
    categorize, and allocate incoming queries to ensure timely resolution.
  • Data Accuracy & Reporting: Manage and analyze utility data, using insights to help reduce costs and optimize energy usage across the organization.
  • Project Support: Assist in delivering energy projects that enhance service quality, contributing to the Group s energy efficiency and sustainability goals.
What You ll Bring
Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in a similar energy or utility management role.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with a professional approach to working across teams.
  • High level of numeracy and literacy (equivalent to A-levels) with the ability to analyse data for actionable insights.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with experience in internet communications.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or relevant professional qualification in energy, management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of energy legislation and regulations, with the ability to implement best practices.
  • Familiarity with Housing V5, Keystone asset management, or similar systems.
