Sense are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our fantastic team as a Waking Night Team Leader at our Residential Service in King's Norton, Birmingham.

This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week. Your weekly shifts will be divided as follows; 3 nights on duty and 7.5 hours office based.

The 8 people we support live in individual flats within a purpose built home and the home is situated in the heart of a vibrant community in Kings Norton with access to good transport links to Birmingham City Centre and local amenities.

We are passionate about supporting individuals who are deafblind, have visual and/or hearing impairments, complex needs and learning disabilities.

As a Waking Night Team Leader, you will be an important part of the team, supporting the registered care manager to enable effective management of the service at night. You will be leading a team of approximately 10 Waking Night Support Workers.

For this role you will require:

  • Experience of leading a team of staff and working in either a Residential or Supported Living Service.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs and mobility difficulties is desirable.
  • Knowledge of or qualification in British Sign Language or the willingness to learn is desirable ( BSL / Makaton etc.)
