Job description

Our Renfrewshire based client is looking for a HSEQ Advisor to join the team in a newly created role on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the HSEQ Advisor you ll be working proactively with Group HSEQ Manager to ensure all policies are being adhered to and consulting with Managers and staff regarding HSEQ matters, offering advice and assistance when required.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

  • Working knowledge of HSEQ Legislation, standards and guidelines, specifically ISO 9001, ISO14001 & ISO 45001.
  • NEBOSH / IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
  • Internal audit qualifications.
  • Experienced in auditing.
  • Flexible, with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Good communication - high level of interpersonal and Confident with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Computer competent, advantageous SharePoint management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Plan and manage delivery of improvements & process and procedure updates along with the process owner.
  • Manage complaint and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions.
  • Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits.
  • Continuing development of the culture of HSEQ within the business by advising and supporting the company in the development and delivery of its HSEQ Management systems, objectives, and training.
  • Undertaking risk assessments and reviews, including but not limited to COSHH, Environmental impact, Hot Works, Lifting and Manual Handling to ensure safe systems of work meet legal compliance and Industry best practice.
  • Influence and manage a positive safety attitude to the workforce.
  • Monitoring all H&S activities ensuring that the company remains compliant with legislation.
  • Completing regular site inspections and internal audits to monitor compliance with HSEQ requirements.
  • Recommending solutions to issues, identifying improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
  • Support in the investigating of accidents, near misses and working with others to prevent future occurrences.
  • Assisting management for ensuring all Sub-Contractors information is up to date and complies with all our requirements before starting work on our sites.
  • Conducting site inductions and training.
  • Assist operations and local quality function in tracking, documenting, and reporting environmental and health and safety KPIs.
  • Analyse and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and support to team on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.
