My client is experiencing rapid growth growing from just 12 employees 7 years ago to approaching 50 today. They have exciting opportunities both in the UK and abroad. To enable the sustainment of this growth there is a requirement to recruit even more team members.

I am looking for a dynamic and proactive mobile NDT Technician with the skills and potential to operate with a high level of independence.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an NDT technician to operate from home to service clients in the Midlands and northern England, including trips abroad. Good prospects for overtime - travel time is working time.

You will be provided with a company vehicle along with the tooling and equipment necessary to meet the inspection requirements. This role is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for job flexibility and autonomy.

My client currently operates a successful NDT department from their Bournemouth office, covering the south coast of the UK. They are now going to replicate that model to cover customers in the Midlands, northern Enland, and abroad.

Responsible to

You will be directly responsible to and managed by the NDT Manager (on-wing).

Purpose of the job

Your primary purpose is to provide NDT testing expertise to the NDT department, predominately on-wing at the customers facilities. You will occasionally also support the in-house NDT Testing department in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.

Job requirements:

Aerospace Level 2 in the following NDT inspection methods (EN 4179 or PCN Aero):

Essential NDT certification:

  • Eddy Current
  • Ultrasonic
  • RT only would be considered

Desirable NDT certification:

  • UT of CFRP composite assemblies
  • IRT, PT & MT
  • A full-driving licence
  • Experience of working in a Part 145 environment
  • Experience of working for at least 2 years in a 'live' hangar environment is preferred. However, those with aerospace manufacturing experience will be considered.
  • Computer literate and competent using the MS Office suite
