Portfolio Director London / Hybrid £90,000(can be negotiated) + Comms

The Business:
A well-established global events business, doing events the right way. Informative, educational, inspiring and world-leading, these are the guys that most look up to.

This portfolio is responsible for £15million in revenue and comes within the Life-Sciences and Bio-Tech industry.

With key shows across the UK, Europe and US, this portfolio is one of the leading brands within the group.

The Role:

As the Portfolio Director, you ll have 20+ in your team with 4 direct reports, which are the heads of your departments across Sales, Marketing, Content and Events.

You ll lead on strategy, P&L, future planning, team development and growth, you ll be the one setting the standard and leading the charge across the globe.

Ideally, coming from a like-for-like role or with a sales background, we re looking for someone who is decisive, direct and a true leader. Someone who can connect with people on all levels, from visiting clients, to inspiring sales teams and everything in between.

This role is technically a maternity cover for 12 months from your start date, however, with the person on maternity already securing a promotion, this role is open. Get the job done and done well, there s no promises but there s no reason this isn t yours long-term.

About you:

You ll have experience in managing a large team of senior leaders, working across events that take place in different locations across the world.

You ll know how to get the best out of your team, identify skills gaps, hire the right people and develop your team. We re looking for someone who is highly strategic and will take it upon themselves to create solutions not problems.
Someone who can take action.

We re looking for someone who is big on relationships, both internally and externally, someone to be the face of this portfolio.

Ideally, someone who comes from a life-sciences or biotech background, this would be great but not essential. Someone who can demonstrate their leadership styles, sales ability and how to further increase revenue and growth for the portfolio.
