About the role.

As a Junior Development Chef you will work as an integral part of the development team at pace in a fast moving environment, by producing innovative food products - that can be mass produced without any loss of quality or taste, which reflect our customer's trends and requirements.

Role Accountabilities

  • Business Communication: Has relationships with relevant functions to support the Development process activity.
  • Customer: Supports hospitality for customer and high-profile visits.
  • Culinary: Is able to support the presentation of product to internal customers demonstrating culinary knowledge. Is able to convert feedback into appropriate action.
  • Product Innovation: Demonstrates a passion for food. Contributes to product ideation.
  • Business Knowledge: Has a good understanding of the relevant site capabilities.
  • Product Development Cycle: Assists the team in the product Development process including producing samples to an agreed quality standard within the required timescales and commercial parameters.
  • Facilities: Supports the running of the Development kitchen facility to maintain a high standard.
  • Behaviours: Reliable, attention to detail, flexible, organised, diligent, conscientious, creative, personally accountable, fast paced, resilient, alignment to BV values.
About you
  • A passion for developing great food, with a proven culinary background
  • Excellent organisational, investigative problem solving and communication skills
  • Drive, energy and enthusiasm
  • Good standard of IT skills to include power point, word and excel
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communicator
