Position: Ground Worker Location: Nottingham

Hourly Pay: £13 - £16 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation:
    Clear and prepare construction sites, ensuring they are safe and ready for work.
  • Excavation:
    Dig trenches, foundations, and drainage systems using both hand tools and machinery.
  • Concrete Work:
    Mix, pour, and spread concrete for various construction projects.
  • Paving and Surfacing:
    Lay pavements, driveways, and other surfaces with precision.
  • Installation:
    Install pipes, cables, and other utilities as required.
  • Maintenance:
    Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in top condition.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:
  • Experience:
    Previous experience as a Ground Worker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Skills:
    Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery related to groundwork.
  • Physical Fitness:
    The ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
  • Team Player:
    Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Certifications:
    A CSCS card and relevant health and safety certifications are preferred.
